吕勇哉，男，1937年出生，毕业于浙江大学化工学院过程控制专业。特聘教授，博士生导师。主要从事工业控制与优化专业的研究，包括SystemsModelingandProcessControl，DataMiningandKnowledgeDiscovery，EvolutionaryComputation，SupplyChainManagementandLogistics等。

1、InnovatedanAdvancedProductionScheduling(APS)systemwithprofitandevolutionaryoptimizationforhybridmanufacturingprocesses，TheinnovationhasbeensubmittedforaUSPatentunderpending；
2、Areal-timeoptimizationsystemforFCCU(FluidizedCatalyticCrackingUnit)atalarge-scaleoilrefinerytooptimizecrackingproductdistributionswithmonitoringFCCUoperatingconditions；ReceivedMinistryScienceandtechnologyAwardinChina；
3、Innovatedanintegratedneuralnetworkcontrolsystemforamodernhotdipcoatinglinewithcoatingweightpredictionandadaptivelearningcontrol.ThissystemreplacedtheoriginalNKKsystemimportedfromJapan.Thissystemwasrecognizedasthefirstneurallearningcontrolsystemforhotdipcoatinglineintheworld.Duetotheapplicationsofthisnovelsystem,a5%reductioninZincmaterialconsumptionandan8%increaseinfinishedproductyieldwereobtained；Received1995AISEKellyAwardintheUSA。
