Helmut Warmenhoven is English teacher at the International Faculty of the Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus. After graduating, Helmut lived and worked in Palestine for two years where he helped to set up the International Palestinian Youth League. On his return to Europe, he was elected General Secretary of Youth Action for Peace International, a position he held for nearly 5 years. Helmut also worked as interim director of the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service, based in the Unesco headquarters in Paris, and he worked for two years at the Brussels office of International Crisis Group. Finally, Helmut was the general manager of Greenway Asia based in Thailand for nearly 2 years.
Originally from The Netherlands, he holds a Masters degree in Economics and International Management from the University of Maastricht. Helmut speaks Dutch, English, French, Spanish and German, as well as some Thai and Arabic. He is currently learning Mandarin
