1、Traditional Chinese medicine- Current research topics include identification of bioactive compounds from Chinese medicinal plants, prescription and its combination, fingerprint.
2、Gout and hypouricemic effect- hypouricemic effect is studied in the context of anti-gout and anti-hyperuricemic damage treatment modalities. This involves anti-gout drug discovery.
3、Psychopharmacology - my approach to psychopharmacology research has been laboratory pharmacology. Studies include animal behavior models, neurochemical, neuroendocrine, neuroanatomical and immunochemistry tools, and CRF pathway changes in depression
