He currently teach Multi-Culture and Education,Multicultural Studies, Applied Anthropology (which includes Development Studies, Anthropology of Tourism and Anthropology of Education) and History of Western Civilization.

His current research interests are in cultural preservation and cultural diversity among minorities in Sichuan Province. This includes the study of traditional arts and crafts of the Jiarong people, and seeking ways in which these can provide meaningful vocations in tourism and crafts. Also included is assisting some university staff and students in facilitating the establishment of cultural centres by the local people.
