刘君，男，汉族，1972年8月生于黑龙江省五常市。中共党员，工学博士，讲师。1995年毕业于湖南大学工程力学系工程力学专业，获学士学位，1998年毕业于大连理工大学工程力学研究所，获计算力学硕士学位，2001年在大连理工大学土木建筑学院(现土木水利学院)获水工结构工程博士学位，后留校任教。2003年赴澳大利亚科廷技术大学土木工程系进行博士后研究工作。参加国家自然科学基金项目3项(重点项目1项)，目前承担大连理工大学青年教师培养基金1项。完成科研项目4项，发表学术论文10篇，其中SCI收录1篇，EI收录4篇。2001年获辽宁省自然科学优秀学术论文一等奖。
其主要研究兴趣：
1． 非连续变形分析方法、非连续变形分析与有限元耦合算法以及它们在工程中的应用；
2． 卫生填埋场的动力破坏机理以及稳定性；
3． 饱和沙土液化以及浅埋管线的上浮机理和抗震措施；
4． 海洋平台基础的稳定性(包括浅海和深海海洋平台)。
5． 隧道、地下结构的地震破坏机理以及加固措施；
