女，1939年10月生，四川成都人，教授，博士生导师。
1961年毕业于四川大学，同年任教于山西大学至今。其间1982-1984年，1988-1989年分别在美国德克萨斯大学，加州理工学院作访问学者。1991年后又多次赴德、美、日、意、澳等国进行高级访问，合作研究和学术交流。曾任山西大学量子光学教育部重点实验室主任。
长期从事光学、量子光学、非线性光学及量子信息领域的实验和理论研究，并承担该学科的本科生及研究生教学工作。指导研究生在光学双稳、非线性光学效应、非经典光场产生、光学量子测量与量子信息等方面作了大量工作，并取得了一系列研究成果。
主持和参与了30多项国家及山西省自然科学基金项目，其中，国家自然科学基金项目11项。
现主持一项国家自然科学基金重点项目，参加一项973项目子课题。
在国内外重要学术刊物PRL，PRA，中国科学等上发表论文130余篇，曾获山西省科技成果一等奖1次，二等奖7次，三等奖2次。1996年主要负责的教学研究课题“地方综合性大学培养高层次人才的实践”获得山西省教学成果一等奖。2000年承担的教学研究课题“地方综合性大学重点实验室建设的实践与研究”获省教学成果一等奖和教育部国家级教学成果二等奖。
目前，指导研究生进行连续变量量子通讯与量子通讯网络的理论与实验研究。
