夏建新, 男, 生于1969.11, 湖北黄冈人，汉族, 博士, 教授， 博士生导师
二、学习工作经历
2002年由北京大学环境科学与工程博士后流动站出站，进入中央民族大学工作。
曾讲授本科生课程：自然地理学，环境信息系统，环境水力学；
硕士研究生课程：环境数学方法，水质模型，环境影响评价；
目前，任环境科学系主任，环境科学专业硕士生导师组长。
2004年获得“师德标兵”称号，2006年获得“宝钢优秀教师奖”。
三、研究方向
主要从事环境模拟评价与规划工作。

Research Interests
My primary research areas are experimental and theoretical environment science as it relates to sustainable development, especially sociology-economy-ecology systems. In general, my research presently is focused on: (1) desertification and vegetation coverage in arid region of north China; (2) Soil conservation and land use in mountainous region, especially environment compensation policy regarding the land use; (3) Strategic Region Environment Assessment (SEA), especially for the minority areas;（4）Natural resources development & management.
