1991~2000年主要从事核试验数据处理工作和微分、积分方程的数值求解工作， 曾开发多个数值程序：如层析反演程序，小波数据与图像压缩程序、重建托卡马克电流剖面空间分布程序等， 获得过七个核工业部科技进步奖。
在美国德克萨斯大学工作期间，开发了一个能用于德克萨斯大学骤变装置的平衡程序 Efit-T. Efit-Tchenx 程序是 San Diego, GA 研究所L.L.Lao研制的一个平衡程序，现在585所广泛适用。
