时坤 副教授,1983年毕业于东北林业大学野生动物专业,获学士学位;1983.8-1986.5 就职于吉林省博物馆自然研究部,从事鸟类学研究;1986.6-1992.3 任吉林省林业厅森保处野生动物项目工程师;1992年4月赴日本留学,在东京农工大学读野生动物管理学专业,先后于1996年和2000年获得该校硕士和博士学位;2000.1-2005.2 任日本国家草地研究中心重点项目研究员;2005.3-2006.3 任英国牛津大学野生动物研究所博士后研究员;现任自然保护区学院野生动物资源教研室主任。
二十几年来一直从事野生动物生态学与保护生物学领域的研究和管理实践,主持和参与国内外研究课题18项(其中主持10项),发表论文近30篇,联合著书6部,获国外一级学会奖1项,主持国际研讨会1次。
研究方向
(1)全球气候变化、沙漠化、栖息地破碎化以及各种人为干扰对野生动物种群和群落的影响与对策;
(2)陆地生态系统的功能和管理,生物间的相互作用,生物多样性的形成、演化和维持机制,入侵生物生态危险性的评价与监测;
(3)珍稀濒危野生动物特别是鸟类和兽类的种群动态监测,种群及栖息地管理,物种保护技术开发。

近年主持完成的主要课题
1.泰晤士河上游湿地管理及景观因素对越冬鸟类的影响,英国泰晤士河上游生物多样性保护项目(Upper Thames Project)子课题(DEFRA,UK);
2.草原鸟类的多样性及制约性环境因子解析(日本环境省);
3.内蒙古北部草原生物圈保存地域缓冲区人与野生动物的共存策略(日本丰田财团)。
近年参加的主要研究项目
1.狗獾的行为生态与进化(英国牛津大学);
2.放牧强度对草地昆虫和鸟类多样性及群落结构的影响(日本农林水产省);
3.草地食粪性昆虫多样性及空间动态(日本环境省)。
目前承担主要课题
1.新疆地区雪豹种群与栖息地的监测与管理(国家林业局);
2.自然保护区景观配置与生物多样性的恢复与保护(国家林业局);
3.乡村生态系统生物多样性的形成与维持机制(国家人事部)。
