夏中生，男，广西大学动物科技学院教授，硕士研究生导师，动物科学专业责任教授。1987年考入广西
农业大学攻读动物营养学与饲料科学硕士学位，1990年获农学硕士学位毕业分配留校任讲师；1994年经
选送赴日本国立岐阜大学留学从事动物营养与代谢的研究，客座研究员。1996年回国，先后晋升为广西
农业大学副教授，广西大学教授。
长期从事教学科研一线工作，担任本科生、硕士研究生多门主干课程和学位课程的理论和实验教学，
指导本科生、硕士生的实践实习、毕业论文和科研训练等环节。担任3届研究生班、2届大学生班主任工
作，连续2次获广西大学优秀班主任、1次获广西大学“三育人”先进个人、广西大学优秀共产党员和动
物科技学院优秀党务工作者等荣誉称号。近年主持广西自治区科技攻关项目1项、广西自然科学基金项
目1项，广西教育厅项目1项，主要参加（第2，第3）国家自然科学基金项目2项、广西科技厅项目和广
西大学科研项目4项，主持负责广西大学动物科学重点专业建设、动物营养与饲料科学重点课程(群)建
设、实验课教学研究与改革等项目。
主要研究方向为动物营养调控与饲料添加剂、饲料资源的开发与利用。在脂肪酸的营养与代谢、饲
粮营养调控生产功能性动物产品，奶水牛的营养需要与调控以及天然矿物质、树叶类、微生物发酵饲料，
中草药、低聚糖、半胱胺等无公害新型饲料添加剂的开发研究与利用等领域取得了较大的成果和进展。
曾获广西壮族自治区人民政府科技进步三等奖2项，国家技术专利1项，自治区高教研究优秀论文二等奖
1项，三等奖1项，广西大学实验教学成果一等奖1项。编著出版著作3部，主编出版教材及教学参考书
6部，参编面向21世纪课程教材1部，在国内外学术刊物发表研究论文60余篇、国际学术会议交流论文
6篇。

feedscience,Englishforspecializedsubjectandsoontoundergraduate&postgraduate
students;andhastrained15mastersinspecialtyofANFS.Aschiefeditor,Hepublished
3booksonanimalproductionandfeed,6textbooksandreferencebooksforteaching
andstudyingonanimalnutritionandfeedscience.
Hiscurrentresearchactivitiesareanimalnutritivemodulation,feedadditives,
developmentandutilizationoffeedresources.Hehaveachievedgratifyingprogress
andsuccessesintheresearchfieldsonfatnutrition&metabolism;animalnutritive
modulationanddevelopmentoffunctionalanimalproducts;nutrientrequirementof
milkbuffalos,developmentandutilizationofnaturalmineralsfeed,leavesfeed,microbes
fermentedfeed,andnewfeedadditives,suchasChinesemedicinalherb,oligosaccharides,
probiotics,enzymepreparations.Hereceived2awardsofscientificandtechnicalprogress
fromgovernmentofGuangxiZhuangAutonomousRegions;andacquiredapatentregistration
offeedtechniques.Sofar,hehaspublishedmorethan60academicpapersoninternalor
internationaljournal,6papersininternationalsymposiumonanimalscienceandproduction.
Currentresearchprojects:inchargeofoneprojectsupportedbyfundofkeyscientific
andtechnologicaldifficultiestobetackledofGuangxiZhuangAutonomousRegions;
onesupportedbyGuangxinaturalsciencefoundation;andparticipatinginotherseveral
