男、汉族、1953年出生。美国新墨西哥大学硕士、教授、博士生导师、教育部高校英语教学指导委员会委员、全国翻译硕士专业学位教育指导委员会委员。

王宏印教授现从事翻译理论与实践，尤其是中国典籍的英文翻译和各种理论研究。任中国跨文化交际学会常务理事、中国英汉语比较研究会常务理事、中国翻译工作者协会会员。
作为翻译专业博士生导师，他开设的课程覆盖三个层面：1）高级翻译；2）世界名作汉译选析，中国名作英译选析，3）中国传统译论经典阐释，诗歌翻译鉴赏与批评。
他对理论和实践予以同等关注，著译书籍30 部，发表论文40余篇，广涉心理学、教育学、语言学、交际学、文化及艺术研究等领域，尤其涉及哲学与文学的翻译研究，如《公孙龙子》、《诗品》、《红楼梦》及莎士比亚研究。广泛阅读中外现代散文与诗歌，并有文学创作。

PROFESSOR WANG, HONGYIN (English Faculty) works on translation practice and theory, esp. translation of Chinese classical works into English and study of theories of translation in different perspectives. He is a standing director on China Association of Intercultural Communication and China Association of Comparative Study of Chinese and English, and on China Translators’ Association. A doctoral tutor on Translation, he offers different courses on tree levels: 1) Advanced Translation; 2) World Masterpiece in Translation Appreciation and Chinese Masterpieces in Translation Appreciation; and 3) Critique Review on Traditional Chinese Theories of Translation, and Appreciation and Criticism of Poetry in Translation. Combining interests in theory and practice, he is an author of 30 books and over 40 papers. They concern psychology, education, linguistics, communication, and culture and art study, esp. on such philosophical and literary works as Gongsong Longzi, Realms of Poetry, A Dream of Red Mansions, as well as Shakespeare. He is also a good reader and writer of modern essay and poetry.
