Dr. Shizhuo Yin is an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the Pennsylvania State University. He received his Ph.D. degree in the electrical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 1993. He has published over 30 refereed journal papers and was a coeditor (with Dr. Yu) of the SPIE milestone book on Coherent Optical Processing (1992). He has also contributed three chapters for three different books. His major research areas are: (1) optical and digital signal and image processing; fiber optic communication system and devices, fiber optic sensor, medical optics, etc. He is a member of IEEE and OSA.
